Our story

  • 2021

    Organisations gathered at the 3rd Sustainable Food Conference of the Daniel and Nina Carasso share a common sense of urgency to engage in ambitious food and farming transitions in the face of alarming environmental, social and economic issues ; but also share a desire to increase their impact through the building of a good food movement.

  • 2021-2022

    Over a year, twenty or so local and national organisations set the first building blocks of the alliance, set a road-map and publish ALTAA’s Declaration of Intent.

  • 2022

    In September 2022, ALTAA is officially launched thanks to the financial support of Healthy Food Healthy Planet, Ademe, the Fondation Daniel and Nina Carasso and the Fondation Crédit Coopératif.

  • 2022-2024

    During 2022-2024, ALTAA is led by a partnership between Solagro and Alizée Marceau, with the support of the Chaire UNESCO Alimentations du monde who make up the steering committee.

     

    An experts panel gathering some of the founding organisations was coopted to share strategic discussions, guide action and ensure its complementarity with the rest of the ecosystem. Find out more

  • 2023

    In october 2023, the alliance grows through membership to the Charter presented during the first national Conference.

  • What next ?

    The next steps are yet to be planned together !

     

The allies

Signing the Charter and participating in the peer-learning and overall dynamic gives the ‘ally’ status for the Alliance for Food and Farming Transitions (ALTAA).
